New Delhi: The Delhi government announced an aid of Rs. 1 crore to the Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer Ankit Sharma, who was killed in the violence in Delhi. CM Kejriwal has said that this decision has received the approval of the Cabinet. He also said that due to the Corona epidemic, there was a slight delay in getting the verdict approved.

The body of Ankit Sharma was recovered from a drain on Wednesday (February 26) in the riotous Chand Bagh area of North East Delhi. Ankit's brother Ankur had told that some women of his colony told him in the morning that he had seen people throwing Ankit's corpse into the drain. Ankur said that when people saw the women, they threatened that if anyone told anything in this regard, the result would be bad. He was stabbed several times before being thrown into the drain. Delhi Police has registered a case of the killing of Ankit Sharma against AAP's former councillor Tahir Hussain in this case.
