NEW DELHI: Amid alleged offers from the BJP to AAP MLAs, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called a meeting of the Public Affairs Committee (PAC), the AAP's highest decision body, at his residence on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia alleged that the saffron party has again approached the AAP MLAs with an offer of Rs 20 crore.
"After they failed to lure me, they have began conspiring to break AAP with offering MLAs with Rs 20 crore and Enforcement directorate raid. Be alert BJP. These are the soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal and followers of Bhagat Singh. They will not betray the party. CBI and ED are nothing before their determination," he said in a tweet.
On Tuesday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had given its MLAs Rs 5 crore in exchange for their support in overthrowing the Delhi government. "Rs 5 crore were offered to our MLAs. We stopped the BJP from overthrowing our government, according to AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj.
The opposition refers to the BJP's plan to topple governments by recruiting MLAs to its party as "Operation Lotus," and he claimed to have video evidence of it in Delhi.
"The BJP begins planning its escape as soon as people decide to support a different party in elections. The strategy is known as Operation Lotus. We saw it in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra…,” said Bharadwaj.
