New Delhi: Manish Sisodia, who holds the education excise portfolio in Delhi's Kejriwal government, is likely to be arrested at any time by the central probe agency Enforcement Directorate (ED). In fact, the ED has registered a case of money laundering against Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 case. The CBI is already investigating Sisodia in the liquor scam case. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia is badly surrounded in this case. On the one hand, a CBI inquiry has been started against Sisodia on the orders of LG Vinai Saxena. At the same time, he has been dragged to court by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma in a defamation case. Let us understand both cases.

Liquor Scam:-

When the Kejriwal government brought the new liquor policy, its opposition started from that time. The people of Delhi were already troubled by the cheap liquor available in tetra packs, on top of that, the AAP government of the state was talking about opening 3 liquor shops in each zone under the new excise policy. On this issue, the public was against it and the BJP also grabbed the opportunity. With Delhi becoming the liquor capital, Sisodia was accused of taking money from blacklisted businessmen and allotting them contracts, the file reached Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinai Kumar Saxena. When LG Saxena noticed financial irregularities in the allotment of liquor shops, he ordered a CBI inquiry into the matter. Even before the investigation could begin, the Kejriwal government, which had so far been praising its new liquor policy, announced that the old liquor policy was being reintroduced in Delhi. However, the reason for this was not said.

However, when the LG order had been issued, the investigation started against Deputy CM Sisodia and on August 19 i.e. Friday, the CBI raided his residence. After 14 hours of action, the CBI team came out of his house with some documents, mobiles, laptops and some other electronic devices. Although huge cash was not found from his house, Sisodia is the main accused in the CBI FIR. Apart from him, some other officials have also been named in the probe agency's FIR. Sisodia is also accused of taking money and allotting contracts to blacklisted companies. Due to this money, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) entered the case and registered its FIR. Now the powers of the ED have been stamped by the Supreme Court and many leaders are also in the grip of the ED for corruption. Deputy CM Sisodia's fellow minister Satyendar Jain is also in jail in the money laundering case. When asked about the cash recovered from Jain and other things related to the case, Jain said, "My memory is gone and I do not remember anything," the report said. For this reason, Jain is not able to get bail, in such a situation, it is believed that if Sisodia is not able to answer the questions related to ED's corruption, then his arrest is possible. CM Kejriwal has also started fearing this, he has said yesterday (Tuesday) that the Deputy CM can be arrested in 3-4 days.

Sisodia summoned to appear in defamation case:-

This is a very strange political development, because on the one hand, where Sisodia is making political statements against the allegations against him. At the same time, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma himself reached the court challenging to prove the allegations against him and filed a defamation case against Sisodia. Now, Manish Sisodia has been summoned by Kamrup's CJM court in a defamation case filed by Assam CM Himanta. Manish Sisodia is scheduled to appear before the court on September 29. In fact, the Assam CM had filed a criminal defamation case against Sisodia in the Kamrup (Rural) CJM court on June 30. In fact, Sisodia had accused CM Sarma of corruption and said that the Assam government has purchased PPE kits from cm Sarma's wife's company at a price higher than the market rate. He claimed that the Assam government bought PPE kits from other companies at the rate of Rs 600, while CM Sarma gave Rs 990 for one kit to a company owned by his wife and son. Manish Sisodia had made these allegations while holding a press conference on June 4.

Before Himanta Sarma, his wife Rinki Bhuyan Sarma had also filed a defamation case against Sisodia. Guwahati: He has filed a civil defamation case in the court of Kamrup Civil Judge and demanded a fine of Rs 100 crore. Rinki Bhunia and Himanta Biswa Sarma had dismissed Sisodia's allegations as false and baseless. Along with this, CM Sarma challenged Sisodia to prove the allegations.

Manish Sisodia is not responding to the allegations:

It is also worth noting that, Sisodia had accused CM Sarma of corruption, in response to which the Cm of Assam challenged him to prove his allegations by filing a defamation case against him. At the same time, when Sisodia was accused of scamming under the new liquor policy, he first announced implementing the old liquor policy back, dying in a U-turn. When questioned about the scam, Sisodia started saying that the BJP is making these allegations due to Kejriwal's growing popularity. Now the question is, if the allegations of the liquor scam are wrong, then why did the Kejriwal government withdraw the new excise policy immediately after the CBI inquiry was ordered? At the same time, if the allegations are false, then Sisodia can also file a defamation case like CM Sarma, but instead of answering the allegations, I will not be afraid, I am a descendant of Maharana, I am a descendant of Bhagat Singh, he is making political statements like this. However, the CBI investigation is on, and it remains to be seen whether Sisodia is proved guilty or innocent in the investigation.
