Corona wreaks havoc in Delhi, ventilators and ICU beds full in several private hospitals

New Delhi: Corona cases are increasing rapidly in the national capital Delhi. In the last 24 hours, 1904 new cases have been registered. Along with this, ventilators and ICU beds are seen fully filled in large private hospitals of Delhi. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that the availability of beds in Delhi will be reviewed today and beds will be arranged.

According to Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain, a lot of ICUs and ventilators are empty in government hospitals, there has been a decrease in two or three hospitals even in private hospitals, that too will be arranged today. Satyendra Jain said that the shortage of ICUs and ventilator beds in private hospitals in Delhi is being seen, it is due to increasing cases in Delhi and people coming from other states as well.

According to Delhi Corona App of Kejriwal Government of Delhi, till Tuesday, March 30 at 11 am, there are a total of 5797 beds for corona patients, out of which only 1604 patients are admitted, while 4193 beds are vacant. At the same time, Delhi has a total of 785 ventilator ICU beds in government and private hospitals, out of which 255 are admitted patients, 530 beds are vacant.
