New Delhi: With the nlock in Delhi from today, special drive 'Vaccination campaign' is starting. Under this, people will be able to get vaccinated at polling booths near their homes. The campaign is for those above 45 years of age. There are 57 lakh people above 45 in Delhi. 2.7 million people have already got their first dose. 30 lakh people are yet to be engaged.
CM Kejriwal said people are not coming forward to get the vaccine done. People will be told from door to door that wherever they go to vote, there will be a vaccine. The campaign is being launched in 70 wards in Delhi from today. There are 280 wards in Delhi. The campaign will be conducted in 70-70 wards every week. During this time, BLO will go door to door. People have to go for vaccination. Those who do not go will go back to their homes BLO. The administration will provide facilities to bring people from homes to and from vaccine centres by e-rickshaws.
CM Kejriwal said that the campaign will last for 5 days so that the entire booth can be covered and all people above 45 years of age can be vaccinated. In 4 weeks, you will be able to say that all people above 45 years of age have got their first dose. Then, after 3 months, they will carry out the same campaign so that they can get another dose.
