Delhi violence: Crime branch will file charge sheet in murder of constable Ratan Lal today

New Delhi: Delhi Police is going to file an important charge sheet in the court today. This charge sheet is related to the head constable Ratan Lal murder case. The SIT of the Crime Branch will file a charge sheet today against the accused in this case. During the Delhi violence, the miscreants in the crowd brutally killed the head constable Ratan Lal.

During this time a violent mob also attacked DCP and an ACP. 17 people were arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), formed to investigate the Delhi violence, on the murder of Delhi Police head constable Ratan Lal. The police have made all 17 people accused in the charge sheet. The police have a list of more than 50 witnesses. 

Apart from this, the police have gathered strong evidence against the accused. Many CCTV footage, mobile footage, people's statements in evidence. Mobile call details, statements of eyewitness police officers and policemen present on the spot have also been included. Ratan Lal, the head constable of Delhi Police, a native of Sikar, Rajasthan, was shot dead on February 24 during fierce violence in Gokalpuri, Delhi. Head Constable Ratan Lal along with his senior colleagues was doing duty in Gokalpuri. During this time a fierce mob attacked him. Shahdara's DCP Amit Sharma, SP Anuj Sharma and Ratan Lal were seriously injured in this violence, along with the head constable Ratan Lal's life.
