New Delhi: A man has been detained for allegedly shooting and injuring a youth in a woman's affair in West Delhi's Raja Garden area. A senior police officer issued the information on Friday. The case of a love triangle is said to be behind the incident.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Prashant Gautam said that the incident of firing was reported near Raja Garden Gurudwara on Ring Road around 6 am on Thursday. Satwinder, a resident of Hari Nagar, was injured in the leg with bullet injuries while another youth Rohit was injured in the scuffle. Both were admitted to DDU Hospital, from where they were later discharged. Dawood, a resident of Jamia Nagar, was arrested with a country-made pistol from the spot. He said a case has been registered at Rajouri Garden police station on Satwinder's complaint.

He said that the investigation revealed that the reason for the quarrel was a woman who was pretending to be in love with the two youths. Two more accused involved in the incident, Fahad and Dipanshu, are said to be absconding. Dawood has already been booked in a case of an attempt to murder at The New Friends Colony police station. Further investigation is ongoing.
