New Delhi: Delhi Police Cyber Cell has lodged an FIR in connection with Corona for cheating by creating fake account in the name of Prime Minister Relief Fund. According to the information given by the DCP, the UPI ID which is deposited in the Prime Minister's Relief Fund is PMCARES @ SBI .. while the fraudsters created a fake account PMCARE @ SBI i.e. removing S from the original ID and creating a fake account and tried to cheat.

Police say that the accused had made this account viral on social media as well, after which the cyber cell has registered an FIR. At present, the fake account has been blocked. With this, Cyber Cell has appealed to the public that whoever wants to deposit money should donate the original account to PMCARES @ SBI.

Earlier, the letter information office of the Government of India warned that donations are being sought from several fake UPI IDs in the name of PM Care Fund. The PIB's Fact Check team tweeted that, "Beware of fake UPI IDs being circulated in the name of PM Care Fund." The PIB Fact Check team has given information by tweeting that to donate to PM Care Fund, the real UPI ID is - pmcares @ sbi. Apart from this, if you get a link or message, which does not have this ID, do not donate at all. It could be an attempt to cheat you in the name of PM Fund.
