NEW DELHI: Arvind Kejriwal Promises seven  Key Benefits for Government Residential Staff Ahead of Delhi Elections.

As the Delhi Assembly elections nears, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal announced seven major guarantees aimed at improving the lives of staff working in government residences.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, January 30, Kejriwal introduced a Servant Registration Portal, where both job seekers and employers can sign up to connect more easily.

His promises also include issuing personal staff cards similar to government employee ID cards, setting up staff hostels, and ensuring access to mobile healthcare services. Moreover, the working hours of these employees will be regulated, and they will receive legal protection and welfare benefits, similar to those already provided to auto-rickshaw drivers.

Kejriwal highlighted that many government residential staff face serious challenges. He claimed that in several official bungalows, workers either don’t receive proper salaries or are forced to work only in exchange for a place to stay, which he called a form of bonded labor. He also alleged that some MPs rent out their servant quarters for personal profit.

To address these issues, he outlined AAP’s seven guarantees:

  1. Servant Registration Portal : A platform for employers and job seekers to connect.
  2. Personal Staff ID Cards: : Similar to government employee cards for better recognition.
  3. Staff Hostels : Affordable housing options for workers.
  4. Mobile Mohalla Clinics : Healthcare services tailored for them.
  5. Regulated Work Conditions : Defined working hours, fair salaries, and legal safeguards.
  6. Financial Security : Rs.10 lakh life insurance, Rs.5 lakh health insurance, and Rs.1 lakh assistance for their daughters’ weddings.
  7. Education Support : Scholarships for their children’s education.

Kejriwal assured that his party is committed to protecting the rights of these workers and improving their living conditions.

Delhi is set to vote on February 5, with the election results scheduled for February 8.
