New Delhi: Kejriwal government of Delhi has declared all small and medium multi-specialty housing homes with a capacity of 10 to 49 beds to be 'Covid-19 Nursing Homes' with an aim to increase the capacity of beds for coronavirus patients. According to an order issued by the government on Saturday, only concession centers, dialysis centers, maternity homes and IVF centers specifically treating the eyes, nose, ears, and throat (ENT) have been granted a concession.

In order to avoid the mutual contact of corona and non-corona patients in small and medium multi-specialty nursing homes and to increase the number of beds for patients with corona infection, the National Capital Region (NCR) has been declared all such nursing homes as Covid-19 housing homes with a bed capacity of 49 beds from 10 beds.

As per the order of the Delhi government, all such nursing homes must prepare their Covid-19 beds within three days after the order is issued and those who fail to do so, the Delhi Nursing Home Registration (Amendment) Rules, 2011 Rules. 14 shall be deemed guilty of a violation of subsection 14.1 of the Schedule annexed and action is taken.
