New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday questioned the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government that what is so special about the spa is that they are not being allowed to open. While markets, gyms, restaurants, metro and buses etc. have all opened in the capital. The Central government said that it had issued a government memorandum on November 18 to allow the spa to start back.

The Delhi government has said that it is not allowing it in view of the third wave of coronavirus infection in the city. After this, Justice Naveen Chawla asked this question. The lawyer appearing for the Delhi government told the court that he had been given oral instructions that the spa would not be allowed to open in view of the prevailing situation in the country's capital. He asked for an extension to give an affidavit explaining why.

The court asked, "Why? Why only spa? What about the spa? You opened everything else. Markets, restaurants, metros, buses are all open and fully operational.” It also directed the Delhi government to clear in the affidavit what is so special about the spa that they are not allowed to open. Why is going and everything else has been allowed.
