New Delhi: Delhi's Kejriwal government will not reduce its budget even after the revenue decline during the crisis of the corona epidemic. The government claims that this will be the largest budget in the history of Delhi. According to official sources, Delhi's budget may increase by up to 10 percent. The budget session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly is starting on March 8. On March 9, the Delhi government will present its budget.

Last year, the Delhi government presented an estimated budget of 65 thousand crore rupees. Of this, 35 thousand 500 crores were to be spent on the plan head, while 29 thousand 500 crores were to be spent for implementing capital projects. However, the lockdown implemented on March 23 last year due to the corona that came after the budget came into effect, not only Delhi but also the economy of the country. It also had an impact on the income of the government.

In the current financial year, the Delhi government has been able to get only 17 thousand 500 crore revenue till February. This is five and a half thousand crores less than 2019-20. It was speculated that this would also have an impact on the upcoming financial year 2021-22. But the government has made it clear that due to better financial management of the Kejriwal government, the government will present the biggest budget of Delhi. This time too, an increase in the estimated budget will be recorded.
