Mr. Khan said, his sister was married to 47-year-old accused-Jamal Nasir in May 2016. After the marriage, they got to know that Nasir lied to them and the place where he was living was taken on rent. “About one-and-a-half year ago, the two of them shifted to a rented house in Madangir and then shifted to another rented accommodation about four months ago,” he said.
He further said that Nasir did not have a proper job and was under huge debt. The accused often took money from their family and was a habitual drinker. Reportedly, accused often tortured the victim after consuming alcohol. Meanwhile, he shifted to another rented accommodation in Madangir area. The accused never let Tabassum visit her mother’s house due to which the two used to fight a lot. “About 20 days ago, my mother was really unwell and we asked him to let her come after which he dropped her to our place in Jamia Nagar but he would come to take her back after every two-three days,” he said.
The PTI report mentioned, she went there with her younger brother Monu Khan and when they reached his place, Nasir took the victim to another room and stabbed her repeatedly at around 2.30 pm. He ran towards the door and saw Mr. Nasir stabbing his sister. “I made him let go of her after which he fled,” he said. The victim was immediately rushed to AIIMS in an auto-rickshaw where she died during the treatment. He further added that the doctors in the trauma centre claimed that they have not seen such brutal murder before.
