New Delhi :Mercedes hit and run case, where CCTV footage have captured the moment when an old man was hit by Merecedes that came leaning down the road with a boy who is in class 12th.
Sidharth Sharma, said he tried to get out of the way but the car was not slowing down.
The footage showed that Mr.Sharma was trying to cross the road while looking both the ways.He had just bought take out from a noodle stand and he was heading home.
Police said, “ It (the car) came at a speed of around 100 km an hour - rammed him, flinging him into the air. There was no sign that the driver slowed down or even tried to avoid hitting him”
The captured show that how fast the car was driven by 17 year old schoolboy who was out with his friends to celebrate the end of class 12 examination.
After hitting Mr. Sharma, the Mercedes went over a pavement and came to a stop as its front tyres burst. The boy forsaken the car and ran away with his friends. He was arrested but let off on bail within hours.
Now,the case filed against his father also,but he is not arrested yet.
Hemraj Sharma said: "From today we are going to live as a dead family... I even told the IO (investigating officer) in the police station, tomorrow it may be your son, daughter or anyone...My son lost his life but I hope others also continue losing and the people with muscle and money power get away from these crimes."
