Delhi Metro Executive Director Anuj Dayal said that orders have not yet been given to start the Delhi Metro Rail service. But in the meantime, after the lockdown in Delhi Metro, work has started for the fast operation. He told that during the lockdown, cleaning work has been done in 264 stations of Delhi Metro, 2200 metro coaches, 1100 automatic stairs and 1000 stairs.

Experts say that after the lockdown, passengers will have to follow the rules in a completely new way to travel in the metro. The journey of the metro train will no longer be the same. Standards of social distance are being set both outsides and within the metro. Distance will also have to be taken care of while sitting within the metro. New stickers are being installed in the seats so that the distance between the two seats is maintained. Apart from this, only 50 percent fewer people will be able to travel in the metro than before.
