New Delhi: Delhiites will soon have the option to order a full bottle of wine at their tables in hotels and clubs. A group of ministers, headed by Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, has taken several major decisions on the excise policy on Tuesday. Currently, alcohol is served in hotels or bars according to the peg. The group of ministers said that it would be the responsibility of the hotel or bar that no person should go out with a full bottle of liquor. Let us know that there are more than 1,000 hotels, clubs, and restaurants in Delhi, which have an excise license to serve liquor to their customers. 

The Group of Ministers in its report said that to ensure quality wine served to customers, they would be allowed to order the entire bottle on their table, but it would be the responsibility of the bar to ensure that any customer served liquor bottle Could not be taken out of their premises. Along with this, approval can be given to serve liquor in open places like restaurants, clubs and hotel terraces, balconies, lower areas. Along with this, the timing of restaurants and clubs in Delhi can be increased like Noida. GOM said that hotels, clubs, and restaurants will have to place purchase orders only from retailers rather than wholesalers.

Earlier, the Delhi government made several major changes in its excise policy. After this, the government will no longer run liquor shops in Delhi. That is, there will no longer be government contracts. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had informed about the changes in excise policies on Monday. He had said that it is not the responsibility of the government to run a liquor shop.
