Delhi-NCR is all set to install 300 EV charging stations in the next 6 months, to make electric vehicles a success in India. The project will be completed by EESL and will work in joint venture with the Ministry of Energy. NDMC and EESL have so far installed 55 charging stations.

In a statement, EESL Managing Director Saurabh Kumar said, "We plan to set up 300 charging stations in Delhi-NCR within the next six months. For this, we have signed the MOU with the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA). Apart from public charging stations, Delhi has only 305 captive chargers with 203 AC 001 chargers when there are 102 DC-001 fast chargers.

Now will be the time for electric vehicles. In such a situation, there is a need to work fast in this direction, because it will be easy to buy electric vehicles, but if the basic things needed for them are available on time, then customers will not have problems. Saurabh Kumar also said that we are also in talks with other cities to install Delhi-NCR electric chargers.
