Delhi court frames these charges against Kashmiri separatist Asiya Andrabi

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday has framed charges against the woman separatist leader of Kashmir, Asiya Andrabi and her two colleagues in the sedition case. Following this order of the NIA court in Delhi, now three women separatists including Asiya Andrabi will be tried for waging war, sedition and terror conspiracy against the Indian government.

Earlier in the year 2020, the Patiala House Court gave permission to prosecute the Government of India on charges of waging war, treason and terrorist conspiracy. The case will go on the same charges against Asiya along with her two colleagues Nahida Nasreen and Sophie Fahmida. Asiya has relations with the separatist organization Dukhtaran-e-Millat. On 5 July 2018, the NIA arrested Asiya Andrabi and two other women of Dukhtaran-e-Millat on charges of treason.

All three have serious allegations ranging from terror funding in Kashmir to instigating women for stone-pelting. Many cases of inflammatory speech, drug trafficking have also been registered. The allegations levelled by the NIA said that separatist organization Dukhtaran-e-Millat had celebrated 23 March 2018 as 'Pakistan Day'. Asiya Andrabi, who was present in this program, gave a provocative speech here, not only this, the national anthem of Pakistan was also sung in this program.
