Delhi: Selling fake Remdesivir injections for 30,000, police arrested

New Delhi: With the pace of corona infection in the national capital, the demand for Remdesivir has also increased. People are paying a heavy price to buy this injection, while the drug mafia is robbing people by selling fake injections. Disclosing a similar case, Delhi Police has arrested two miscreants from whose possession 15 fake Remdesivir injections have been recovered.

In fact, on May 5, Delhi police came to know that some people in the Nangloi area were engaged in black marketing of Remdesivir injections. Nangloi resident complainant Rahul told Delhi Police that his uncle was found corona positive. For him, Rahul spoke to injection sellers during a search on Google. After which the vendors called Rahul in the Rohini area and recovered Rs 30,000 for the injection. Rahul's uncle died when the injection was used before this.

The complainant Rahul suspected the injection to be fake after which the police launched their investigation. A team of ACP Mihir Sakaria, Inspector Vipin Kumar, Sub Inspector Dinesh, and ASI Surendra again bargained to buy the injection as customers in search of the accused. Both the accused were easily trapped in the police trap. After which the police nabbed the two accused. Police have recovered 15 fake Remdesivir injections as well as cash worth Rs 34,000 and a Centro car from the accused.
