Delhi Police has arrested Yashwant Sinha along with AAP MP Sanjay Singh and all the people sitting on a protest at Rajghat with him. However, no statement was made by the police on this. Yashwant Sinha, an outspoken critic of the Narendra Modi government at the Center, earlier said that the civil authorities have failed to help migrant laborers forced to walk on the streets, whether it is the central government or the state governments.

He said that our simple demand is that the armed forces and paramilitary forces should be entrusted with the responsibility to use all the resources they have and bring these migrant workers to their homes with dignity. Sinha said that until his demands are met, he will sit on the protest. After this, the police arrested him.
