New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) has busted a major international passport and visa racket. Police said that four vicious miscreants and a passenger of the gang who sent fake passports abroad have been arrested. The mastermind of the gang has been identified as Zakir. Zakir is a financier of Marathi films and is also making web series.

Along with this, another of his associates Zameel Picture Wala has also been arrested. A large number of passports, visa rubber stamps, biopic pages and passport preparation material have been recovered from them. DCP Airport Tanu Sharma has informed that since June, the DIU team of the airport was engaged in exposing the case. Finally, the police managed to bust the big racket. The other arrested accused include Ravi, Sanjay and Imtiaz. Zakir has been arrested by the police from Mumbai and brought to Delhi.

Police have recovered 325 fake Indian passports, three foreign fake passports, 1,000 rubber stamps, 175 visas, 77 biopic pages, 12 printers, 75 passport jackets, two machines and photopolymer machines from the arrested conmen. The gang, which has been running the racket since 2008, has so far sent 200 people abroad through fake passports. The racket has earned several crores of rupees so far.
