New Delhi: For the past few days, an objectionable video of a Delhi judge with a female stenographer was going viral on social media. After the video surfaced, serious questions were being raised on the 'actions' of the judiciary. However, now taking suo moto cognizance in this matter, the Delhi High Court has suspended the judge and the woman stenographer with immediate effect. Along with this, the High Court has ordered to block this video from social media as well.

According to reports, the video going viral on social media features the Sessions Judge of Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court and a female stenographer. It is being said that this video is of March 9 this year. It is reported that this video was recorded in the CCTV camera installed in the judge's chamber. After the video surfaced, the lawyers demanded strict action against the judge and the woman stenographer. In this matter, Delhi High Court Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, taking suo motu cognizance, has suspended the judge and the woman stenographer with immediate effect. Along with this, the District and Sessions Judge has also been asked to take action against the concerned female stenographer. Not only this, but the process of setting up an inquiry committee into the matter is also going on.

Earlier on Wednesday (November 30), while hearing the petition of the female stenographer, Justice Yashwant Verma's bench ordered the social media platform to block the above video and stop its circulation. According to another report, the relationship between the judge and the female stenographer was going on for a long time in the Rouse Revenue Court premises. Therefore, such apprehension is also being raised that some court employees may have made this video viral on social media.

Note:- Due to the video being objectionable, we cannot post it here.
