New Delhi: The fear of action proposed to remove encroachments in South Delhi has already begun to show in Shaheen Bagh. There is an atmosphere of chaos in the furniture market. The shopkeepers in the furniture market are removing such goods themselves, which in normal days stays on the street outside the shops. The SDMC had informed today that a general anti-encroachment drive will be carried out in the Jasola area.

It was said by the SDMC that the officers of the SDMC will be involved in the anti-encroachment drive. It was also informed that the action will be taken against illegal parking on roads and illegal street vendors. It was said that the Mayor of SDMC will not be present there during the operation and no sabotage and no special drive will be carried out there.

The SDMC had to give this clean-up because South Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor Mukesh Suryan had said that after Jahangirpuri, bulldozers' action would now be taken in south Delhi areas. In it, he had said that government lands in Shaheen Bagh have been encroached upon. Apart from this, in Sarita Vihar, Kalindi Kunj, people have cut off the colony and occupied it illegally.
