New Delhi: Police have arrested a criminal after solving a case of murder of an elderly man after robbing his car in Delhi. For this, the police took the help of more than 30 CCTV footage, and more than 100 police staff were deployed in the case, only then the blind case was resolved.

According to police, KN Katju police received information from Rohini Sector 11 at around 10 pm on Friday that a person was lying unconscious on the ground. The injured old man was hanging from the gate of the car and half fell to the ground. Police rushed to the spot and the injured was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

The same deceased has been identified as 65-year-old Ramesh Chandra Rana, a retired teacher. Police planned to reach out to the culprits based on the statement of eyewitnesses and with the help of CCTV. It was fitted with a staff of more than 100 policemen, including a special cell along with the district police. Police came to know that the car of the deceased was looted by the criminals and when the deceased was forcibly unloaded from the car, he hung from the gate of the moving car and died as soon as he fell to the ground. More than 30 meters of the deceased was said to have been hanging at the gate of the car.
