New Delhi: November month of the year 2020 was the coldest for the national capital Delhi in the last 71 years. The reason behind such severe cold in Delhi in the month of November was the absence of global factors like La Nina and Western Disturbance. Along with this, the lack of rain locally in the winter and the lack of clouds in the sky also became the reason for such a cold in Delhi.

For the first time in the last 71 years, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 10.2 ° C in November. According to the India Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi is usually around 12.9 degrees in November. It is noteworthy that this year not only in the month of November 2020, so much cold was recorded but in the last October also, the cold had broken the record of 58 years. In October this year, the minimum temperature was recorded at 17.2 degrees Celsius. Earlier in the year 1962, there was such a cold winter in October, when 16.9 degree Celsius temperature was recorded.

This situation could possibly get worse. According to Indian Meteorology, yesterday was the coldest day of November in Delhi on Monday 30 November, when the minimum temperature dropped to 6.9 degrees Celsius.
