Washington: Democratic Party MPs are requesting the Trump administration to exempt some healthcare workers from the ban on entry of H-1B visa holders into the country. It is known that the H-1B visa is very popular among Indian IT professionals. Recently, on 23 June, the Trump Government cancelled the H-1B visa and other types of foreign work visas by the end of 2020. They said that in the election year, this step is being taken for the protection of American employees.

The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa. Through this visa, American companies are going to appoint foreign employees in places of technical or other expertise. American technology companies are going to hire thousands of foreign professionals on this visa every year. MPs have said that even though Kovid has given a concession to those working on treatment and research of patients. But in this crisis period, limiting the number of health workers is troubling the lives of Americans.

According to information received in a letter to Foreign Minister Ponpio Homeland Security Executive Minister Chad Wolf and Labor Minister Yugin Scalia, MPs have said that these restrictions are putting large-scale health services in the US at risk in every way.
