Arunachal Pradesh Deputy CM Chowna Mein, who is also the Minister-in-Charge of Power, convened a meeting with senior officers from the Power Department and the APEDA to discuss issues associated with the implementation of schemes in the state, particularly the 132 kv Roing-Chapakhowa double-circuit inter-State transmission line.

According to an official release issued here on Friday, Mein described the Roing-Chapakhowa transmission line as an ambitious project that, once completed, will strengthen the State's electricity condition. He urged the district administration of Lower Dibang Valley to work with all parties to resolve project-related difficulties.

When discussing the restructured distribution sector scheme, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasised the need of preparing the DPR in compliance with the real needs on the ground, "in order to meet the aim of minimising AT&C losses."

Mein also checked on the status of initiatives in the State to build solar-powered projects and parks. Mein went on to talk about the budget forecasts for 2022-23, the comprehensive scheme, the Saubhagya Scheme, the DDUGJY, and the IPDS Phase 2 later.

Mein's adviser Balo Raja, Commissioner Kaling Tayeng, PCCF RK Singh, APEDA Director Marki Loya, Power CE (WEZ) Bar Takum, and Power CE (EEZ) Gumdo Doji were among those who attended the meeting, according to the communiqué.
