Bollywood superstar actor Devanand lived his life on his terms. Dev Anand, the incredible actor of Indian cinema is not among us today, but on the basis of his talent and dedication, his acting became an inspiration for generations to come. Dev Saheb's film career was longer than six decades. Today is his death anniversary. On this day, he died in London.

Talking about Dev Anand, he was born on 26 September 1923 in Gurdaspur district of Punjab, his childhood name was Devdutt Pishorimal Anand and he had an inclination towards acting since childhood. His father was a lawyer by profession. He did his undergraduate education in English literature from the famous Government College in Lahore. Dev Anand also wanted to study further, but due to money problems, he gave up studies. His journey to Bollywood also started from here.

When he arrived in Mumbai in 1943 to realize his dream. After reaching Mumbai, Dev Anand lives in a rented room in a cheap hotel near the railway station. Where there were three other people living with him who were struggling to make their mark in the film industry just like him. For a long time, he worked as a clerk in the military censor office, where he had to read the letters of soldiers to his family members. In his career, he did films like Guide, Jewel Thief, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Johnny Mera Naam, Hum Dono, Prem Pujari, and CID. Even today, Devanand is remembered for his style of acting.
