Dehradun: Uttarakhand is currently in deep mourning. At this time the whole country is in mourning because it is a time of sorrow. The country has lost the first highest officer of its three services. But the irony of Uttarakhand in the meantime is that no official who reached the pinnacle of supremacy in the military sector could complete his term for various reasons. Yes, in this list where the tenure of General Bipin Rawat and General Bipin Chandra Joshi could not be completed due to their untimely demise.

On the other hand, DK Joshi, the only Admiral DK Joshi from Uttarakhand, who came to the top of the Navy from Uttarakhand, resigned from his post in the intervening term after the Sindhuratna tragedy in 2014. Uttarakhand is a place where soldiers leave every second and third house. However, Uttarakhand got a chance to reach the top of the army first initiative in 1993. This was at a time when General Bipin Chandra Joshi of Pithoragarh became the Chief of Army Staff (Army Chief). However, General Joshi could not complete his term.

He passed away prematurely on November 18, 1994, in just a year. He was the 17th Army Chief. After 22 years of General Joshi, the country got the 27th Army Chief from Uttarakhand. He was General Bipin Rawat. General Rawat was appointed chief of defence staff of the three services of the country after the Army Chief. However, he was yet to complete his tenure as CDS, which he could not complete. Now, it cannot be called an accident or an accident. Both were deeply attached to Uttarakhand and its mountain. The two have also had an educational connection with Dehradun.
