Guwahati: The much-awaited Ambubachi Mela, the grandest Hindu religious event, has commenced with great fervor at the magnificent Kamakhya temple in Guwahati. Situated atop the Nilachal hill, this historic temple is adorned to perfection, welcoming thousands of devotees from far and wide.

At 2:30 am on June 23, this year's Ambubachi Mela's Pravritti ceremony took place. The sacred ritual marked the beginning of the three-day and three-night closure of the temple's main entrance. During this period, devotees eagerly await the culmination of the Mela.

On June 26, the highly anticipated Nivritti ceremony of the Ambubachi Mela will be conducted. Following the Nivritti, a series of rituals and puja will be performed, further enriching the spiritual experience for the devotees.
