Dhanteras is falling on two days this year i.e. 25 and 26 October. Due to this, a strange state of dates is being formed till Diwali this year. Because this doubt has arisen due to two days falling. This time, 2 days Dhanteras, 2 Narak Chaturdashi and 2 Amavasya Tithi are falling. The festival of Diwali is celebrated on this day.
However, no festival can be celebrated for two days. For this, some rules have been given in the scriptures according to which Dhanteras and Diwali will be celebrated. According to the scriptures, Dhanteras will be celebrated on October 25, even after two days of Dhanteras. However, the date of Trayodashi is also on 26 October. For this reason, on October 25, Friday, Dhanteras Muhurta has been told in the scriptures that on the day of Trayodashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month, Lord Dhanvantari appeared during the churning of the ocean.
For this reason, it is appropriate to celebrate the festival of Dhanteras on this day. However, the problem is that the date of Trayodashi is falling for two days. For this reason, according to the scriptures, Dhanteras should be worshipped on the same day when there is Trayodashi in Pradosh Kaal in the evening. Due to this rule, Dhanteras will be celebrated on 25th October i.e. on Friday.
