South actor Dhanush and Karthick Naren had recently returned to shoot for their film referred to as D43. The team is shooting in Hyderabad now and recently Malavika Mohanan and Master Mahendran also resumed the shooting for the film. As the star actor is celebrating his 38th birthday today, the makers of the film, Sathya Jyothi Films, have released the first look poster of the film as well as the title.

The film, which was referred to as #D43 till now, has been titled 'Maaran. The first look poster features Dhanush carrying a pen in his hand and hitting another person's head onto a glass table with his other hand. The other person can be seen holding a gun in his hand. While Dhanush can be seen in an exceptional look, in the four pictures on the shattering glass pieces, he is seen in four different looks.

Produced by Sathya Jyothi films, the film stars Malavika Mohan playing the female lead. It is believed that Dhanush and Malavika are both playing reporters in this film, which is said to be an emotional action thriller. Praised to be an investigative thriller, looks like Mahendran will be playing a character with a negative shade. The film's cast also includes Samuthirakani, Smruthi Venkat, and Krishnakumar. The upcoming film is touted to be a thriller drama and GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the music, Lyricist Vivek and Karthik Naren are crafting the lyrics.
