Dhanush's foreign film The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir will finally hit the screens on June 21. Dhanush’s Hollywood debut will be released in India, the United States, the UK, Singapore, and other countries on June 21, the actor announced on Tuesday. A Tamil version, titled Pakkiri, will also be released.
Earlier, the director of the film Ken Scott revealed that the film was well received across Spain and people there loved Dhanush. The film has garnered good reviews so far. It has to be seen if the Indian audience like the actor's debut foreign film.
Based on the book by Romain Puértolas, the film is about an Indian street magician's journey to Paris. The film deals with the problems of immigrants across the world. Despite handling a rather sensitive and gloomy subject, the film seems to be filled with lighthearted humor.
Directed by Ken Scott (Sticky Fingers, Starbuck), the French-English bilingual is based on Romain Puertolas’s 2013 French bestseller The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe.
Dhanush is currently working in the film called Asuran, which is directed by Vetrimaaran. The actor will next work on a project with Karthik Subbaraj. He has also announced his second directorial venture, which is expected to go on floors this year.
