Dhanush is one of the most versatile actors in Kollywood right now and is currently riding high on the success of Maari 2.With a lot of debate going on if Dhanush and Karthik Subbaraj has dropped their project, recently it was confirmed that they both are indeed coming together for their film. Apparently, the team kick-started work on their project with auditions that was held in Madurai. This project was announced as early as 2017 and had been delayed, and now, with Karthik Subbaraj scoring a success with Superstar Rajnikanth's Petta, the project is set to take off.

This Madurai audition hints at the possibility of Dhanush playing a Madurai lad, while there were initial speculations that the film will be shot in the US. The film is set in the US, and the team, we hear, will be heading for the shoot soon. Produced by Y Not Studios, we will have to wait and see when they will make an official announcement of the project. Dhanush, meanwhile, is busy with the shoot of 'Asuran' with Vetri Maaran and his yet-to-be-titled project with Durai Senthilkumar. What’s even more interesting is that Dhanush will be seen essaying father-son roles in both these films. The movie will hit the theater in August 2019.
