New Delhi: Following a new down in Indian politics, a veteran leader of the opposition Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has made a rough and harsh remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his special day. When PM Modi is celebrating his 68th birthday and people from all the walks of life pored the greetings Majeed Memon used the ‘dhobi ka kutta’ analogy for him.
Talking about PM Modi’s current visit to Indore to be present at an event of the Dawoodi Bohra community marking Ashura which is the annual commemoration of Imam Hussain's martyrdom at the Saifee Mosque, Memon commented that the PM Modi attended the Dawoodi Bohra community’s event with the expectations that he will be able to woe the voters, but he failed to remember that he will lose the support of both sides.
Modi ji, Bohra samaj ke pass gaye iss vichaar se ki shayad musalmano ko rijhha liya jaayega, lekin na woh idhar ke rahenge na hi udhar ke. Dhobi ke kutte wali baat ho jati hai," Memon was quoted by the news agency ANI.
In the wake of low politics PM Modi received similar remarks by Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, who had drawn criticism after dubbing to him as 'anpadh ganwar' (illiterate villager).Sarcastically, while using the rough and rigid words against PM Modi, NCP’s Memon also extended his wishes to the PM Modi as saying, “Greetings to PM Narendra Modiji on the eve of his 68th birthday,” he wrote on his twitter handle.
