Chennai: MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), made headlines last week with a rare Instagram post in which he shared a video of him cutting a cake at his Ranchi farmhouse with his dogs on his 42nd birthday.

A few days later, Dhoni once more caused a commotion in Chennai when he arrived at the airport wearing a new appearance before the premiere of the movie "LGM," which is made by MS Dhoni's production company, Dhoni Entertainment.

The footage of Dhoni's spectacular greeting at the Chennai airport on Sunday was published on the official fan website of CSK's well-known fan organization, "Whistle Podu Army." Later on Monday, Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Dhoni will unveil the "LGM" trailer.

'LGM' will be directed by Ramesh Tamilmani, with Sakshi Dhoni contributing to the project's conception. Sakshi Dhoni had earlier remarked about the feature film, "We look forward to staying here and doing more such significant stories. We can't wait to begin this amazing trip right now. I can tell you that the whole family will appreciate this entertaining movie.

After winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Qualifier 1 match earlier this year, Dhoni is making his first trip back to Chennai. After the game, Dhoni took a loop around the MA Chidambaram Stadium, figuring that this would likely be his last time playing in an IPL game in front of spectators.

Dhoni turned 42 on Friday of last week, and he has said that he may still captain CSK in the IPL 2024 season.  “If you circumstantially see, it’s the best time to announce the retirement. The easy thing for me to say is thank you and retire,” Dhoni said after the IPL 2023 post-match presentation.

“But the hard thing to do is to work hard for nine months and try to play one more IPL season. The body has to hold up. But the amount of love I have received from CSK fans, it would be a gift for them to play one more season. The way they’ve shown their love and emotion, it’s something I need to do for them,” he added.
