One of the most awaited movies of the year, Brahmastra is already hit the theatre and as per some reports, the movie is doing well at the Box office. The first part is recently released and rumors about the second part is spread on social media.

One report claimed that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh could star in the upcoming part, some feel that the initial cast will be retained. Some other rumors claimed that Hrithik Roshan or Ranveer Singh will play the lead antagonist Dev and the internet is abuzz with fan theories on this subject with some of them even suggesting that Ranbir Kapoor will himself play his father's character in the film in a double role.

The director of the  movie opens up on these rumors and said, "I can’t reveal who Dev is. I have been reading a lot of names but it will be a mystery for a while." He further said, "Just yesterday Alia shared a few fan theories with me and some of them really caught my attention. So we are going to give a hard knock and make the script of part two fresher and then we’ll start looking into the production part."

The filmmaker in another interview said,  “the trilogy will tell the same story, but that each film would introduce new characters and add various perspectives to the overall narrative.”

Brahmastra, helmed by Ayan Mukerji, was released in theatres on September 9 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Apart from Mouni, the film features Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Nagarjuna. Shah Rukh, Deepika Padukone and other celebrities have cameo appearances in the film.
