NEW DELHI: More than 10.00 lakh Indian digital content creators on social media are expected to earn more than USD 500 (nearly Rs 41,000) per month each in the next 3 years, a report revealed on Friday.
The annualized growth rate for India is over 115 percent for individual creators as compared to the global growth rate of 18 percent, as per a report by creator economy startup Animeta on the 'International Creators Day'.
In 3 years, 10.00 lakh creators in India would have at least 1,00,000 subscribers/followers, growing at 37% at an annualised level, which will allow them to have a steady digital income at par with a decent-paying full-time job. Currently, over 3,500 brands and more than 5,000 creator partners in India are actively engaged in digital creator-driven branded content.
Over 20,000 pieces of branded content have produced more than 500 million engagements.
According to Devdatta Potnis, CEO of Animeta, "all signs are pointing towards the trend that the Indian creator economy will become the most significant growth contributor to the global creator economy in the next couple of years."
Animeta, a Singapore-based company, specialises in developing and fostering digital creators by assisting them in expanding their communities, maximising their earnings across various social media platforms, and developing tailored brand solutions.
The rules of business and marketing are being rapidly rewritten in a cost-conscious market, according to Krishna Desai, CPO and Data Scientist, Animeta. "Sponsored content space is getting more organised and performance marketing metrics usage are on the rise."
