USA: With regard to its long-rumored Mixed Reality headset, Apple has remained silent. However, we have been informed about the status of the wearable through leaks and patent applications.

We now have more details about the headset, thanks to a detailed report by The Information. The gadget is speculated to have a battery to be worn around the waist, and a Digital Crown to switch between the virtual and real world.

It was speculated that Apple's AR/VR headset would be portable. A battery worn around the waist appears to be the cause.

A cable will be used to connect the battery and the headband. Sir Jony Ive, Apple's former head of product design, supported the idea. Prior to the Meta Quest Pro, the company attempted to incorporate the battery into the headband.

Apple's Mixed Reality headset has a battery life of just two hours. It is claimed to have a hot-swap design to make it easier for users to change the battery.

According to reports, the device will have a 120-degree field of view, which is higher than the 106-degree field of view of the Meta Quest Pro.
Additionally, a high-resolution display is expected.

The Information claims that Apple's Mixed Reality headset will ease the transition between the real world and the virtual one. For that, a smaller dial resembling a Digital Crown is expected. However, unlike the knobs on the Apple Watch or the AirPods Max, the dial on the headset won't have haptic feedback.

According to reports, Apple is trying to maintain the aesthetic side of the headset by hiding the camera. According to the report, the company has made the wearable with the help of carbon fiber, glass and aluminum.

It is said that the business made various headbands for customers and programmers. For eyeglass wearers, the headset may have magnetically attachable prescription lenses.
