Indore: Senior Congress leader sought evidence from the Centre of the air strike conducted by the air strike in Pakistan.

Singh on Saturday seek evidence from the government of the air strike, while at the same time “congratulating” Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for Varthaman’s release. He said, “I do not question the IAF action…but pictures of any incident in open space can be accessed through satellite technology. So, we should also give evidence, the way the United States government presented evidence before the world on (the killing of) Osama bin Laden.”

Earlier, Congress leader Salman Khurshid also said that IAF pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, “received his wings in 2004 and matured as a fighter pilot during UPA”.

IAF  jets on February 26 launched a major offensive against terrorist organisations using Pakistani soil to carry out terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and annihilated training camps of the Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot that falls in the Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa region, along with Muzaffarabad and Chakothi in PoK. The IAF attack was carried out by 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets, ably aided by Sukhoi jets that provided cover throughout the operation, around 3:30 am. The payload dropped by the Indian Air Force weighed as much as 1000 kilogrammes.
