Vanitha magazine, whose tagline is "Sthreekalude Suhruthum Vazhikaattiyum," which means to "Women's Friend and Guide," has made headlines for all the wrong reasons. The Malayala Manorama group's current edition has sparked controversy by including actor Dileep, his two daughters, and his wife Kavya Madhavan.

It should be remembered that Dileep, a Malayalam star, is one of the suspects in the actress' kidnapping case. A famous actress from the Malayalam film industry was abducted and sexually raped in a moving car by a bunch of guys in February 2017. The crime's mastermind is supposed to be Dileep.

While the court case was winding down, Dileep's former friend and director Balachandra Kumar made severe claims against him, which the police investigated further. In the middle of this, and shortly after Balachandra's allegation against him, Vanitha magazine portrays him as a model 'family guy.' The magazine's decision to bleach his picture has sparked outrage among the general public as well as several celebrities on social media.

Vijeesh Gopinath conducts a conversation with Dileep in which he discusses his last five years, childhood poverty, family, and other topics. During the conversation, Vijeesh asks him why "every time your new film comes out, fresh controversies arise."

"It has happened before, this attempt to depict me as a bad character when my movie comes out...some people have this enmity against me," Dileep says. Meanwhile, many social media users have criticized Vanitha magazine for portraying Dileep as a decent man and defending the guilty.
