When director Ali Abbas Zafar was informed by Priyanka Chopra that she will not be able work in in his next directorial, Bharat, it was Katrina Kaif who stepped in and hence reunited with opposite Salman Khan. For Bharat, Salman and Katrina have shot in different locations including Mumbai, Malta and Abu Dhabi and now they are currently in Chandigarh.

According to source, Katrina Kaif will now have a meatier appearance in Bharat. Earlier, Katrina's role was crafted under a certain bracket with Priyanka Chopra in mind. The source added that with film’s shooting still going on, director Ali has now increased the graph of Kat’s character. There’s more dialogue, action and drama added to her role which will be very much liked by the viewers. There is also report that now, In Bharat, Katrina will have a way bigger role than any of her films.

Apart from Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif Bharat also stars Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles. It is slated for an Eid 2019 release. It is the remake of the hit Korean film, Ode to My Father, which released in 2014.
