Scholarship scam: ED has filed ECIR, Regular investigation will be done now

The Enforcement Directorate has started a regular investigation by filing an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) to investigate the much-talked-about scholarship scam of 250 crores and also sought documents related to the scam from the educational institutions trapped in the case. Apart from this, till now the ED was investigating from the perspective of money laundering of the facts coming out in the CBI investigation. In the same initial investigation, the ED found solid evidence of money laundering, after which he has started regular investigation by filing a report in the case. The same can now ask the ED banks, educational institutions, CBI, Department of Education and the accused in the case all the documents required for money laundering.

Sources say that after filing a report and after regular investigation, the difficulties of the accused involved in the case will be doubled. In fact, Superintendent Arvind Rajata and his wife, who were caught in the CBI's investigation so far, are also suspected to be directly involved in the scandal and have disproportionate assets. Property is feared. The ED is trying to see where the CBI considers their role to be important in the scam, where the black money earned from the scams was spent and who and how much movable immovable assets have also been created.

For your information, let us tell you that soon the ED can take action to attach some assets in the case. It is noteworthy that on the recommendation of the state government, the CBI is investigating the scholarship scam. In such a situation, the investigating agency registered an FIR against unknown people in the case on May 7, 2019 and raided two dozen institutions. At the same time, on 3 January this year, the investigating officers arrested Arvind Rajata, Superintendent of Himachal Education Department, Hitesh Gandhi, Vice President of Private Educational Institutions and SP Singh, Head Cashier of Central Bank of India. It is believed that the CBI may soon arrest many more people in the case.
