Previously, scientists tried to extend life span of the mice using programmable cells. The research failed because, cells were too young they developed tumor and died. But this time scientists showed proper results of the experiment, they programmed mice cells genetically.

This experiment was performed on premature mice, programmed mice lived 30% longer than those who were not programmed. Scientists affirmed that this process assured that aging could be reversed.

This is the vast discovery in the field of science. According to the source, this experiment was successful in human body cells too, scientists tested  human cells in laboratory.

Team behind this result led by Professor Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte of the Salk Institute in the US. Professor Izpisua Belmonte said “our study shows that aging may not have to proceed in one single direction, it has plasticity and, with careful modulation, aging might be reversed.” technique is based on process, they turn cells back into stem cells.
