Chandigarh: While curfew has been imposed all over Punjab due to Coronavirus, two parties have come face to face in violation of curfew in Mayapuri area of Tibba Road. While there was a fight on both sides, stones were hurled at each other from both sides. First, both sides clashed on the minor matter on Friday night. After that there was talk of an agreement between the two sides on Saturday, when the other faction attacked for revenge.

According to information received from sources, about 12 people including women have been injured in this fight. First one group attacked the previous group in the morning and the other one in the night. The police of ADCP 4 Ajinder Singh, ACP Davinder Chaudhary and three police stations reached the spot as soon as the information about the stone pelting between the curfew. The police somehow calmed the atmosphere and started keeping a watch on the whole area with drones. Right now the police is investigating in this matter.

According to the information, the son of a woman living in the Punjabi Bagh area of Mayapuri, implements a vegetable wok. Asked for the price of vegetable, last night, the youth of his area got upset. His old rivalry was also going on with those young men. Some youths assaulted her and attacked the woman's house. The attackers threw stones at the house and misbehaved. Other people, including the woman, were injured in the fighting and stone-pelting. The complaint was given to the police. In the morning, there was talk of agreement between the two sides that suddenly the men of the woman's side suddenly attacked the family of those who attacked the night. During this time, the attackers have fired sharp weapons, brick stones. As soon as the information was received, police of three police stations under the leadership of ADCP Ajinder Singh, ARP personnel and other police personnel reached the spot. In front of the police too, both sides made serious allegations against each other and threw stones. The police tried hard to convince the people, but when they did not agree, the police had to send people to their homes on the strength of sticks.
