Divya started ruling the Hindi film industry at the age of 19. She had signed 14 films within a year. On April 4, Divya returned to Mumbai from Chennai after shooting for a film. The next day he had to go to Hyderabad for the shoot. But that morning never came again. At the age of just 19, Divya fell from the apartment window at 11.30 pm on the ground floor and died. However, the reason of her death is mysterious.
She died due to falling from the window of her flat. At that time fashion designer Neeta Lulla and her husband Shyam Lulla were present in the flat with Divya. Neeta and Shyam reached Divya Bharti's flat at 10 pm. All three had a drink sitting in the living room. Apart from these three, Divya's maid was working in the kitchen in the flat. The actress affair was with producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala and both loved each other very much. They first met when Divya Bharti was shooting for the film 'Shola Aur Shabnam' with actor Govinda. Divya was a minor at this time, while Sajid was 26 years old. Sajid started liking her in the first meeting itself and after that she often used to reach the sets of the film to meet Divya. She signed a deal on the day of her death i.e. April 5, 1993.
