New Delhi: Ekadashi fast is considered to be the best among all the fasts. According to the Panchang, Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month is known as Rama Ekadashi. Rama Ekadashi is considered the most important of all Ekadashi. Those who wish for wealth wait this year for this Ekadashi, because Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped on this Ekadashi.

This Ekadashi of Kartik month is known as Rama Ekadashi after the name of Lakshmi. On Rama Ekadashi, there is a tradition of worshiping the full form of Keshava form of Lord Vishnu with the Rama form of Goddess Lakshmi. Rama Ekadashi is the last Ekadashi of Chaturmas. Chaturmas are continuing at this time. Chaturmas will end on 25 November 2020. It is believed that Ekadashi fasting fulfills every wish, as well as salvation.

During Ekadashi fast the rules should be strictly followed only then this fast is attained. According to the rule, the start of Ekadashi fast begins at the end of the date of Dashami. Therefore, one should not eat food after sunset on Dashmi Tithi. On the day of Rama Ekadashi, after taking a morning bath, one should take a resolution of fast and worship Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
