In such a situation, the question arises that where did the 'thong sandal' come from? How is it made? And what does the word 'Hawaiian' in 'thong sandal' mean? If considered by historians, 'Hawaiian sandal' has got this name because of America's 'Hawaiian island'. Yes, in America, there is a tree named 'T' in 'Hawaiian Island' and from this tree, slippers are made from the same rubber made fabric. It is said that this is why they are called 'thongs'. By the way, many people also argue that they are as light as air, so they are called 'air slippers'.

Let us also tell you that it is also said that in the year 1880, labourers were brought from the rural areas of Japan to 'Hawaii Island' of America to work in fields and factories. Along with them, this design of slippers also came to 'Hawaii' and in 50 years, in 1932, Kobler Elmer Scott moulded the rubber Numa fabric used to make slippers in Hawaii into Japanese designs, and thongs came into existence. There are many such stories which are related to thongs.
