Doda: Due to the negligence by a doctor, one and half year girl died in a private clinic. A child specialist doctor of district hospital Doda has been suspended after death of minor girl.

According to sources, the minor girl, Somira aged about one and half year-old of Ganika in district Doda was taken to clinic by her parents at about 9:30 am as she was suffering from fever.

As per her parents, Dr Rattan Singh injected two injections at a time to the minor after that she fell unconscious and died owing to overdose of drug.

Amid slogans against Government and Health authorities, the protestors demanded immediate suspension and arrest of the said doctors.

Hundreds of people protested against the doctor and demanded his immediate suspension, they took the body of minor to old-bus stand and triggered massive protest against the administration

When contacted DC Doda Bhupinder Kumar said that the doctor has been placed under suspension and an inquiry has been initiated in the minor girl’s death case.
