The youngest receipent of Nobel prize, Malala Yousufzai is suddenly in the news because a certain spiritual guru refused to acknowledge her credentials for receiving the prize.

Have a look on work done by Malala, and you decide, whether she deserves the 'Nobel' or Not?

1. Malala was born in Pakistan's Mingora- a Taliban controlled area in the Swat Valley.

2. She gave a speech in her school at the age of 11. "How dare the Taliban take away my basic right to education".

3. At the age of 12, Malala started blogging, under the pseudonym 'Gul Makai' for BBC Urdu service.

4. An engraged Taliban issued death threats against her.

5. Taliban attacked, her school bus, when she was just 15 and shot her in the head. The bullet went through her head and reached the neck.

6. She was move to UK and underwent a 5 hour long surgery.

7. She co-Authored the book "I Am Malala" after being recovered.

8. Malala Yousafzai established the ‘Malala Fund’ in 2013 to work towards the cause of women’s equality and education.

Fighting the Taliban, and death, Malala has undoubtedly inspired a generation who come from tough survival conditions and social taboos, to embrace education. She stands for what once can do to one’s life, by virtue of the choices one makes.
